• See elements in their natural state and real-life applications.
• Check out podcasts and videos.
• Use our interactive slider to see how elements change state as temperature increases, or explore the discovery of the elements through history.
• Customise your app to see only what interests you.
• Use our simple table for quick access to data – like sorting elements in order of increasing density.

Pros and cons of Periodic Table app for iPhone and iPad

Periodic Table app good for

This app contains all and more of everything about every element. It is very easy to use and can show you everything you need to know about an element in seconds. It also has informational videos on almost every element. Love This App!!
Dear Royal Society of Chemistry, This app provided no comfort during my first menstruation, though understanding the elemental foundations of desiccants did help me ace my Chem I midterm. Thanks, Crystal Ridgewood High School
Thanks for making this app! It is easy to use and is adequate for my needs. It would be even more helpful if it worked with iOSs Split View feature. That would make it easy for the user to refer to the Periodic Table while reading a book or watching a lecture on the iPad.
I downloaded this app a week ago and I am loving it. I am in a micronutrient biochem class and find my textbook rather boring and it is difficult for me to understand the concepts. This app helps add excitement to the minerals. I like the short video clips where you can see the element and the podcasts are my favorite feature so far. They provide a history of the elements (including the origins of their names), discuss their properties and uses.

Some bad moments

I like the app but would love it if the sound worked. I have a daughter that would need the app. Hoping she keeps interest.
This app contains a massive amount of information that is very well organized. Brady Haran did all the videos at the University of Nottingham, which means they are quality! There are also podcast episodes from the Naked Scientist. Everything works in-app; the app doesnt send you to the web browser or another app. The layout of the app is brilliant; it is clean while providing a ton of information.
This app is astounding. Everything from a brief overview and pertinent information (atomic #, density, group, etc,) to a deep dive with functions, uses, history and more. An interactive, informative, WONDERFUL app. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
This app is very clean and easy to navigate. I really like the videos that are in this app. The scientists that experiment with the different compounds are amusing at times. I really like the one with the puffy hair really adds to the evil scientist feel. Very enjoyable app, one thing that would make it better would be the Lewis dot structure for corresponding atoms.
I cant believe this app is free. The app is fluid and responsive, beautiful and informative, works great for the classroom. Fantastic work developers!!
This app is the best ive ever seen ,its better than my teacher :D
